Happy Hands Storytime introduces children to American sign language vocabulary, speech, and expression.
Happy Hands Storytime teaches American Sign Language vocabulary, speech, and expression -- all through multi-sensory learning! Signing helps promote verbal communication and encourage reading skills. It can have amazing results with children who have speech and communication challenges. The aim of the Happy Hands program is to empower communication by teaching a broad base of ASL vocabulary that can be used immediately. Children -- including babies as young as 6 months old -- have the capacity to understand, learn, and communicate before they develop the ability to speak.
This program is geared towards children ages birth - 5 years.
The Franklin Park Branch is located just off Claremont Road on Clover Place right next door to the Franklin Park School.
