A free, basic ESL conversation group for students who have a basic working knowledge of English and wish to gain more confidence speaking English.
A free, basic ESL conversation group led by an experienced, NJ-certified ESL teacher. Offered to ESL students who have a basic working knowledge of English and wish to gain more confidence speaking English alongside other students. Expand your reading comprehension and knowledge of American culture and history through readings and discussions based mainly on Easy English News (available at the library). The group is not appropriate for people who cannot speak basic English. This is a participatory class, and attendees are expected to keep their cameras and microphones on during class, unless there are technical difficulties.
This 8-week session runs from April 4 through May 23. Attend as many classes are you are able!
Registration is required. A link to the Zoom meeting will be included in your confirmation email (sent after you register) and a reminder email (sent one day prior to the program). If you do not receive the emails, please call the library. The 'meeting room' will open 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the program.
