Join us for an in-person yoga class, focused on a series of gentle, breath-infused movements.
Join us for an in-person yoga class, focused on a series of gentle, breath-infused movements that flow throughout all the joints in every direction they naturally move. This practice can be done seated or on a mat with options to stand as well. The movement of the joints creates space in the body and moves prana, or the life force, in such a way that motion may become more easeful and fluid. Stiffness, sensation, and/or pain may be lessened or relieved to prompt a deeper journey into healing. There are also several movements and breathing practices for the reduction and cooling of inflammation. In Ayurveda, yoga's sister science, it is believed that this specific practice calms anxiety as well. Class includes gentle joint movements seated and some standing, pranayama (breathwork), yoga nidra (deep relaxation), and meditation.

The 36,018 square foot Demott Lane Branch is located in the Franklin Township municipal complex and provides a large community room for library programming, as well as additional meeting room space for community groups, study rooms, public access computers, and more.
