Enter the underworld of stolen art as we examine the little-known stories of some of history’s greatest art heists. This lecture will review some of the most significant art thefts in the last century and a half, while also questioning and discussing how the legitimate art market has piqued the interest of so many criminals.
Mallory Mortillaro is an art historian and educator. She has a decade of teaching experience and has worked on various art research projects for museums and organizations in the New York metropolitan area. Her discoveries in the art world have garnered her international attention. She studied at Drew University. Mallory resides in New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
The 36,018 square foot Demott Lane Branch is located in the Franklin Township municipal complex and provides a large community room for library programming, as well as additional meeting room space for community groups, study rooms, public access computers, and more.
