A Death Cafe is an an event where people come together in a safe and friendly environment to bring up a taboo subject—death!
Death is universal but how different people and cultures deal with death is unique. A Death Cafe is an an event where people come together in a safe and friendly environment to bring up a taboo subject—death! Have you been wanting to talk about it but thought it was too weird? Or have you had an experience you’d like to share? A Death Café is not necessarily a support group or grief counseling, it is a neutral space to show up together to chat with a death doula and other participants.
No registration required. This is an on-site, in-person program. Masks are recommended for library visitors, but they are not required. If you have any questions regarding the library’s COVID-19 policies and programming, please call us at 732-873-8700 x 111. The library reserves the right to reschedule programs.
The 36,018 square foot Demott Lane Branch is located in the Franklin Township municipal complex and provides a large community room for library programming, as well as additional meeting room space for community groups, study rooms, public access computers, and more.
