The story of the Titanic, from voyage to sinking.
Historian Greg Caggiano will give a lecture on the story of the Titanic, from voyage to sinking. The presentation will examine passengers' life on the ship, the Titanic's construction, and reasons why it sank. Caggiano will also discuss the culinary aspects of the journey, such as the last meals served to the first, second, and third classes.
Greg Caggiano is a historian who has worked as an instructor for Brookdale Community College in their Lifelong Learning department since 2014. In his spare time, he has served on the Board of Directors of two museums: the Proprietary House in Perth Amboy, and most recently the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society, housed at the Strauss Mansion Museum. A firm believer in volunteering and giving back to the community, he has helped fundraise tens of thousands of dollars for historic preservation over the years.
