Join us to unpack some paintings, improve your visual literacy, and increase your appreciation of art!

Have you ever looked at a painting and wished to understand it more? This lecture serves as a guide to basic visual analysis. We will review some of the more common symbols and tropes seen in Western painting.  This lecture provides examples and practice in visual and contextual analysis while examining a variety of artworks. Join us to unpack some paintings, improve your visual literacy, and increase your appreciation of art!

Mallory Mortillaro is an art historian and educator. She has ten years of teaching experience and has worked on various art research projects for museums and organizations in the New York metropolitan area. She studied at Drew University. Mallory resides in New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
