If you're new to computer use, this very basic class will cover using a mouse and keyboard, navigating computer applications and web browsers, and answer your questions.
Introduction to PowerPoint
Wednesday, January 25 at 6:00-7:30pm at DeMott Lane
Microsoft PowerPoint is a program used to create presentations and visual aids. It is used in offices, classrooms and other settings. This class will cover how to create, design and format a presentation that fits the audience and how to best use it so that it fits the message you want to convey. You are expected to know how to use a mouse before taking this class.
Internet Basics
Monday, January 30 at 10:30am-12:00pm at DeMott Lane
This class will include a brief history and description of what the internet is and how to navigate it using a web browser. We will do some basic searching and learn what makes up a good website. You are expected to know how to use a mouse before taking this class.
Bring your own laptop or device or borrow one of ours.
No registration necessary but limited space is available; patrons will be admitted into the program on a first-come-first-serve basis.
This is an on-site, in-person program. Masks are now optional. In-person programming capacity is limited and the Community Room will be set up for proper social distancing. If you have any questions regarding the library’s COVID-19 policies and programming, please call us at 732-873-8700 x 111.
The 36,018 square foot Demott Lane Branch is located in the Franklin Township municipal complex and provides a large community room for library programming, as well as additional meeting room space for community groups, study rooms, public access computers, and more.
