Zumba incorporates easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on range of motion and coordination. This class accommodates participants of all levels--those who want to stand AND who want to use a chair. Zumba Gold Chair is perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves at a lower intensity. If you want more of a challenge, you're welcome to stand, or do a mix of both! Laurie will demonstrate motions both ways.
Chair Pilates is a mind-body class based on Pilates principles, using the chair for support and balance as well as various fun props, and incorporating breathing, stretching and strengthening for the whole body!
Registration is required. A link to the Zoom meeting will be included in your confirmation email (sent after you register) and a reminder email (sent one day prior to the program). If you do not receive the emails, please call the library. The 'meeting room' will open 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the program.
